Mad Men, Paul & Joe’s Spring-Summer collection, and Oliver Peoples’ new video campaign will all tell you that a sixties’ revival is now in session.
The era’s guitar strums, riffs and retro grandeur are yet again reprised in today’s indie albums. Only versions of doo-wop and sing-along vocals in sophisticated arrangements make for a perfect Spring time playlist as we anticipate basking on seasides and playing ukulele’s on balconies.
We’ve included some of today’s indie pop sets as the latest mutations of the oldies featured on the list. Side A starts us off with the days of countertops, jukeboxes, soulful laments for heartbreakers, and twisting and shouting.
